Coolpad Xview: The very first smart augmented reality-based glasses

After its five-year collaboration with specialists from the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Coolpad Group in its ‘Unlimited Horizons’ has introduced commercial wireless augmented reality glasses called the Coolpad XView for the first time. Almost close to other standard glasses in appearance, this ultra-cool pair comes with a display and a 3mm camera lens.

Equipped with a unique single-chip system, this AR-based spec helps in assessing the dimension of the surroundings, detect objects and people nearby as well as gather web-based information too. It is developed with industry-leading light transmission and helps in creating contrast and color reproduction.

This lightweight gadget features the following category:

  • navigation
  • shopping
  • communications, and more.

Because of its wireless facility, the Coolpad Xview AR glasses can be connected via Bluetooth to any smartphones; however, the user can only use it for 4G support until the developers embed the 5G network support by next year. Currently, this uber-cool spec is priced at 2,999 Yuan and is about to hit the Chinese market.
