Asus has come up with a new gaming monitor called the ROG Swift PG259QN. It is a prerequisite for any gaming laptop that the refresh rate should be incredibly high, and the new monitor from Asus meets the exact criteria.
Apart from having a high refresh rate, the ROG Swift PG259QN also offers an FHD resolution and ergonomic design that offers height adjustment, and a swivel function. As for its details, the ROG Swift PG259QN offers a limited resolution with just 1920 x 1080 pixels, and the size of the screen is quite small – 24.5-inches.
Gamers looking to buy new gaming monitors may be put off by the small screen size and the pixels offered. However, the high refresh rate makes up for that lack of any esports gamers. The 360 refresh rate is perfect for any high-action eSports game especially for games like Overwatch, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Furthermore, to accompany the refresh rate, the Fast IPS panel offers a 1 ms response time. The monitor offers a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Additionally, the monitor ROG Swift PG259QN comes with HDR for making the picture more vivid. This monitor features support for NVIDIA’s Ultra-low motion blur to provide a supersmooth visual.
Asus has also taken extra care to reduce overall reflections on the screen, even the indicator light has been moved to the underside of the bezel. Moreover, the monitor comes with support for Asus Aura Sync that allows the monitor’s lights to be synced with other Aura-Enabled PC components and peripherals.
For the purpose of connectivity, the monitor features a single HDMI 2.0 port and a DisplayPort 1.4. The USB port provides the users with two additional extra ports. As per the reports, the ROG Swift PG259QN is the fastest gaming monitor on the market right now. Asus is yet to announce the date of release and the pricing range of this monitor.
