Microsoft may hit a new release in the international market by circulating its upcoming Surface Duo, receiving certification from Canada. It also underwent approval from Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and has been identified by model number 1930.
For those who are still wondering about the Duo model, it is almost like a modern, digital rendition of a foldable notebook comprising of 5.60 inches of a primary and secondary display.
Adjoined by a 360-degree revolutionary hinge, it permits unhindered foldability and slips easily into the pocket. The surface body is made up of Gorilla glass which gives it a sleek and shiny, appearance of sophistication and the Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 provides further durability to this modern notebook.
However, it cannot be mistaken as a smartphone though it is an amalgam of all the features that a good smartphone or a tablet can provide. Its functions include playing with apps and making calls, but as the Microsoft Chief office Producer, Mr. Panos Panay concludes,
The company doesn’t view the new Surface Duo as a smartphone despite its ability to be used for calls. – Mr Panos Panay
Other features include:
- Android 10
- 1,800 x 1,350 OLED displays with 4:3 aspect ratio
- 6GB of memory and 64 or 256GB storage
- 3,640mAh battery or more
Microsoft has just received the certification and is yet to release its specifications. Albeit the limited information, one can easily subscribe to the Microsoft official webpage in order to get notified on its details for now.
