Oppo A53 to be equipped with Snapdragon 460 SoC, other specs revealed


Oppo might release a new smartphone from its A-series, and the key specs for the upcoming smartphone have been leaked. Various certification websites have already listed Oppo A53, but a recent leak provides details of the upcoming smartphone.

As per the reports and speculations, the Oppo A53 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor under its hood. There had been some rumors, previously stated, that the smartphone was supposed to run on the Snapdragon 662 processor. But the latest leak puts the previous rumor to rest. The chipset on the handset will be provided by Adreno 610 GPU.

The leak of Oppo A53 was an extensive one i.e. it has spelled out almost all the major and key details about the smartphone. The leak also mentions the details of storage. The upcoming smartphone is supposed to come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Another variant is supposed to come with 6GB RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The variants are supposed to be exclusive for Asian markets only.

The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.53 inches of IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution. The display screen will offer a refresh rate of 90Hz, a first for the Oppo A series of smartphones. The front side of the screen will feature a punch-hole design that houses a selfie camera of 16MP. As for its rear cameras, it will have a triple camera set up which consists of a 13MP primary shooter, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor.

Although the leak does not specify the software version, it is safe to assume that we can expect Oppo A53 is to be shipped with Android 10 OS. As for security, it will have a ‘Rear-mounted’ fingerprint scanner. Last but not the least, it will have a 5000 mAh battery with an 18W fast-charging support.
