Redmi K40 smartphone series to launch in China next month


Recently a Weibo blogger brought the news that the Redmi K40 series will soon hit the Chinese market; however, the new machine will only be launched after MediaTek launches its new product.

The launch for MediaTek is scheduled to take place on January 20th, 2021. Therefore the new series of smartphones from Redmi, named the Redmi K40, will launch soon.

MediaTek has previously stated that they will release a new generation of 5G flagship chips before the Spring Festival. Currently, MediaTek’s high-end chip is the Dimensity 1000+. However, the new Redmi smartphone will come with Snapdragon 888 under the hood.

The news of the upcoming launch of the Redmi K40 has also been confirmed by a number of tech-personalities through Twitter. The upcoming smartphone has already made its debut on various leak-sites.

The new smartphone is supposed to feature an OLED screen that will come with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Some even claim that the Redmi K40 will feature the most expensive straight screen of a smartphone. The smartphone will run on a battery more powerful than a 4000 mAh battery.

Lu Weibing mentioned that for the new year, Redmi would not be afraid of any competition. The company will remain with its promise to bring an affordable smartphone with flagship smartphone features. The K40 smartphone is also supposed to be launched alongside its Pro version.

The price for the K40 smartphone is set at 2999 yuan as of yet, the price of the Pro version is yet to be revealed.

Although MediaTek’s launch could also take place during the first month of 2021, Redmi has not mentioned any official date as of now. Still, the Chinese tech giant mentioned that the Redmi K40 will be available in China starting next month.
