ZTE Nubia RedMagic smartwatch receives FCC certification

A new smartwatch from ZTE Nubia appeared on the FCC certification website. The smartwatch is codenamed SW2102 and the listing reveals a few of the major specs of the upcoming smartwatch.

First off, the smartwatch will feature a 1.39-inch AMOLED circular display. The photos that appeared on the website show that the smartphone is likely to feature a black coloured leather band. The circular display on its right side features two main buttons: one power button, and a shortcut key. The ALOMED screen is likely to be a touch screen. On the other hand, the smartphone comes with detachable straps which means that the watch bands will be offered in various colours.

To ensure that the watch works perfectly, users need to download the RedMagic Sorts App on their smartphones, and the app needs to be running in the background if the user wants to receive messages push notifications. Furthermore, the smartwatch comes with a heart rate sensor, acceleration sensor, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, and an ambient light sensor. For the smartwatch to monitor heart rate, the user needs to wear the watch properly. The smartwatch runs on a 420mAh battery and comes with Android 4.4 and above. The battery cannot be removed from the smartwatch. The RedMagic Watch supports Bluetooth 5.0 BLE wireless connection.

As per the certification website, the watch meets the requirements of 5ATM protection level and the user could wear the watch in a swimming pool in the shallow waters; however, the waterproof function is not permanently effective and if it is not taken care of around water, the smartwatch may lose its general abilities over time. The touch screen of the watch does not function underwater.

ZTE Nubia is yet to announce the launch date of the RedMagic Watch as well as the price and its variants.
