OPPO unveils Xiaobu virtual humans, smart mobility solutions

Today, the Chinese consumer electronics and mobile communications company, OPPO has unveiled two new products, Xiaobu Virtual Human, and smart mobility solution, at the 2021 OPPO Developer Conference (ODC21) held in Shanghai.

The conference’s theme was “Openness, Mutual Integration, Goodness, and Innovation,” and it presented new perspectives on future ecology. OPPO introduced a user-centric omnipresent service and equipped developers with cutting-edge technologies including ray tracing, heterogeneous computing, and Xiaobu virtual humans. It also announced the launch of a health lab and a car machine company to generate data for consumers. Wisdom has a new lease on life.

Xiaobu Virtual Human

The Xiaobu Virtual Human is the first mobile smart assistant based on virtual human multi-modal interaction, which includes vision, voice, natural language processing, and other multi-modal fusion technologies. It can communicate with consumers in a variety of circumstances thanks to Xiaobu Assistant’s strong AI capabilities. Real-time engagement with ecological content offerings.

According to the President of OPPO’s Digital Intelligence Engineering Division, Liu Haifeng, the Company hopes to build an AI ecosystem that is intelligent, human, and warm.

“From software, hardware to services, we finally hope to build an open ecosystem centered on Xiaobu Assistant, one-time development, and multi-terminal access. Xiaobu realizes smart device communication using OPPO’s full-stack AI technological capabilities as the foundation. “Everything is interconnected.”

 Smart Mobility Solution

According to OPPO, the smart mobility solution includes everything from hardware to software, technological capabilities to service applications, and two-wheeled electric vehicles to four-wheeled vehicles. With this development the company plan to land over 15 million vehicles in 2022. There are currently approximately 70 cooperative manufacturers, including automakers, two-wheel electric vehicle makers, Tier 1 manufacturers, and travel service providers.

However, according to Wu Henggang, President of OPPO’s Software Engineering Division, the wave of automotive digitalization has arrived, according to the expansion of the field of smart automobiles and the accelerated evolution of intelligence. Mobile phones and automobiles are still largely independent at this time, and they have yet to develop the potential to interact, assist, and integrate with one another.

In addition, OPPO also unveiled a system-level solution for performance and power optimization known as heterogeneous computing. On the one hand, this technology enables multi-core and multi-threading capabilities in the CPU, allowing the driver layer to provide full services. On the other hand, it gives developers an open interface that allows them to call numerous hardware processors.
