Earlier this year, Microsoft had planned to hold a special virtual event. Although all of the tech companies schedule and host similar events that mostly act as an introduction to their prospective upcoming launches. However, when announcing the future probable conference, Microsoft had mentioned that the conference is unlike the ones the company usually hosts. The company also mentioned that the conference will share information about its various business units. Unraveling the mystery, Microsoft has finally announced that its upcoming special event is called “the future of hybrid work” conference.
The concept of ‘hybrid’ is fairly recent in the workplace dictionary. The ‘hybrid’ workspace gained momentum after the pandemic hit where it became both impossible and dangerous to be physically present in the office or workplace.
Microsoft is using the term and concept to refer to the way people have been working remotely during the pandemic. This directly indicates that whatever the company has planned for the conference will be oriented towards the virtual workspace and that Microsoft is providing to the workforce. The conference will obviously keep in mind those users who opt for its remote services during the pandemic. It is expected that Microsoft will launch some office-related content, such as updates and new additions to Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365. The conference is likely to improve other office software as well.
The invitation page of the conference includes a concept map that outlines what Microsoft thinks the future meeting room will look like. The Microsoft Hybrid Office Outlook conference will be held on June 17 at 6:30 pm IST. The event will also be live broadcasted. In addition, Microsoft will hold a press conference called “Xbox Games Showcase: Extended” on June 18th at 10:30 pm IST. This conference is concerned with Microsoft’s gaming franchise in general and is likely to introduce new games.
