Honor had launched the Honor Play 5 Series in China in May this year and then launched the Honor Play 5T in August. In April too the Chinese tech company launched a new smartphone called the Honor Play 5T Vitality edition which was powered by MediaTek’s P35 processor. The smartphone was priced at RMB 1299. On October 20, 2021, the company yet again announced that it will soon launch the Honor Play 5 Vitality version 5G. The company also mentioned that it will hold a press conference at 19:30 on October 25, 2021.
The official HONOR poster reads, “HONOR Play5 vitality version of 5G, will call soon, and I am born to dare to make it.” Officially the company also announced, “HONOR Play5 is a dynamic version of both young and profitable. It will be unveiled on October 25th.” The poster of the smartphone reveals that the smartphone is very similar to the TCL Thunderbird FF1 which was launched earlier this year.
According to the reports, the Honor Play 5 Vitality 5G model will feature a 6.53-inch of LCD screen which will offer a refresh rate of 60Hz. Moreover, under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by Dimensity 720 processor. The rear side of the smartphone will come with a quad-camera setup which consists of a 48MP main shooter, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP black and white lens, and a 2 MP depth of field lens. The front side of the smartphone will come with a 16MP camera. Additionally, the smartphone will run on a 5000mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging technology.
Other reports claim that Honor’s 3 new phones will be launched later this month as seen in the listings of China’s third-party malls. The upcoming smartphones include Honor Play 5 Active Edition, Honor X30 Max, and Honor X30i.
